Starbucks Concept Shops

As much as I love interior design, I really love seeing the way different marketplaces are designed. That being said, Starbucks is branching out with more concept stores. Here are two beautiful examples. One is located in Amsterdam categorized as a "Coffee Lab" the other a tranquil wood-sculpted beauty located in Tokyo designed by the famous Kengo Kuma.

100 Cameras

I have been inspired lately by socially conscious businesses and those organizations that work strictly on the premise of providing 100% of funds directly back to the source. I stumbled across one such organization called 100cameras and I just had to share. The organization was started by four women in NYC. 100cameras empowers marginalized children to document their lives through photography and to create positive change in their own communities by giving them cameras. 100% of funds from the children's purchased prints is used to raise awareness and capital to meet physical needs and empower sustainable growth within their community. Take a minute and check it out!

Check out this beautiful beach house living room by Tobi Tobin. It's cozy, clean and fresh...

Madewell Spring Line

I usually shy away from bright color sticking with classic pieces in a neutral palette, but brights are becoming the new neutral and I just love the freshness of these outfits from Madewell.

Time for a Change

It's one month until vacation am I'm feeling like although I've been exercising (Insanity, but more on that later) I'm not getting anywhere. I do feel a bit leaner, but haven't lost anything yet or at least that's what the scale says. I've been encouraged by many to stick with it and not to get to discouraged because this is the time when most people quit. I've been following the diet for the exercise program pretty well, but I'm still not feeling 100%. It says to eat four small meals a day. I'm starting to think of what I eat as more fuel than anything. I'm not sure I like that. I enjoy food so so much, the taste, the smell, the experiences of shopping for it and cooking. In light of that and the fact that vacation is just a stunning 30 days away, I've decided to try eating only whole foods for an entire month. This is going to be so hard and a real challenge for me. I'm used to eating pretty healthy lately, but there are still a bunch of processed "healthy" foods I eat. Here I go!!!
